Until the 18th century, Fougas belonged to the
lands of the Bellegarde Priory. The monks, with
their knowledge of the land, found an exceptional site here. A fine 18th century residence attests to a prestigious past.
“Fougas” in Occitan refers to a bird of prey that soars high up into the sky. Today, this admirable Gironde property, dating back to 1778, promises a friendly and highly enriching visit.
