La Grande Maison of Bernard Magrez

Star-rated Chef Pierre Gagnaire is taking over the kitchens at La Grande Maison, the gastronomic restaurant of Bernard Magrez.

Pierre Gagnaire was voted the World’s Best Star-Rated Chef 2015 by his peers and will be carrying on their tradition of excellence. As you probably know, he is also Chef at his own three-star gastronomic restaurant in Rue Balzac in Paris, along with 13 gastronomic restaurants across the world.

Pierre Gagnaire and Bernard Magrez intend to offer a signature cuisine, both based on the principle so dear to these two ambassadors of the French lifestyle – creating emotions.

Elegance and sophistication...

In the three dining rooms of the gourmet restaurant, the interpretation of Napoleon III style infused by the interior designer, Frédérique Fournier, is the epitome of elegance: grey mouldings and wood panelling, carpets and curtains in shades of parma violet, with touches of deep purple or red, banquettes and armchairs, lit by daylight from the tall windows or the soft evening light from the chandeliers and small table lamps designed by Baccarat: A hushed and refined yet relaxed atmosphere in which contemporary art is given pride of place.

Tableware from Christofle, Baccarat glasses and carafes, and a final nod to art with ceramic presentation plates and bread plates specially designed by the artist Erik Ifergan, from the studio that housed Picasso's kiln in Vallauris.

The perfect setting for business lunches, romantic tête-à-tête dinners, family evenings or Sunday lunches, the three dining rooms may also be booked for exclusive use to enjoy complete privacy.

An excellent cellar...

Owner of 4 Grands Crus Classés in Bordeaux and therefore one of its leading Ambassadors, Bernard Magrez wanted to have an exceptional wine list which no other restaurant in the world can outclass, offering all the Grands Crus Classés and similar wines (Pomerol and Bourgeois) from Bordeaux, a total of 259 wines. Unparalleled! Not to mention, of course, some of the finest winegrowers in Burgundy, Rhône and Alsace.
